IBM OPOS display | POS&Touch

Retail Shop 2010.12.12 adds a new customer display: the IBM OPOS display.

Requirements:

The first step is to have the OPOS installation software supplied by the client’s IBM distributor. This software lets you set the device name, which Retail Shop needs in order to use the display.

Procedure:

Once the device name is configured, open the Configuration menu and select Station Configuration. In that form, expand the Devices list, click the Display option, and open its configuration form.

Then:

In the Display option, check Customer Display to enable the device settings.
Select IBM OPOS.
In the Device Name (Display) field, enter the name you set in the OPOS installation software.
In the Claim Time field, enter 1000 milliseconds or more, depending on the client’s needs. This is how long Retail Shop waits before showing information automatically.

You can also configure a message to show on the display when the register is not billing, using the dedicated text fields.
